Parent Notes

  1. Tomorrow is a Payment Day. Please pay for 3 weeks in March.
  2. We are going to delay the Hand Me Around until Friday, March 24. The Hand Me Around is when you can bring free items (clothing books, etc. ) you no longer need and bless others.  You can bring and/or take as much as you want.  This way you will have the week of spring break to clean out and bring items in on March 24. All items are placed on tables in the Fellowship Hall and clothes are sorted by size.
  3. Check the website for class assignments each week and for any bonus questions that might be posted. Each class is supposed to update by Monday.

  6. Yearbooks must by ordered online this year. Please pick up an informational flier at the Information Table.  Deadline to order is April 3rd.
  7. Classroom changes for the rest of the year. All of these classes are in the north hallway off of the Sanctuary:
  8. Beginner Orchestra Cellos at 8:45 will report to the Music Room
  9. Younger Violin Class at 8:45 will report to Room A150.
  10. Intermediate Orchestra at 10:00 will report to Music Room.
  11. Younger Violin Theory Class at 10:00 will stay in their new room, Room A150.
  12. Please stop by the Payment Table or see Tracy Yohn to purchase your Banquet tickets for the March 25 at 6:00.  This is an adult event fundraiser with the PSHP students serving and performing.  Tickets will be on sale until March 10.  Cost is $15 per person, $25 per couple, $50 for half table (4 people) or $100 per table (8 people).  Choice of entrée will be either chicken cordon bleu or beef brisket.

Teacher’s Meeting Rescheduled

The teacher’s meeting originally scheduled for Friday, March 3 will be moved to Friday, March 10.

On March 10 we will have both a teacher’s meeting and theory teacher’s meeting.

Teacher’s please stop by the Information Table on March 3 to pick up your February Contract Laborer pay.

 

 

Federation on Saturday,  March 4, 2017

  1. Students that signed up for this optional schedule should stop by the Information Table to pick up a schedule and map for March 4.UPDATED Room numbers.  String Room 1=Evangel Room 115 and String Room 2=Evangel Room 156.
  2. Be sure to meet with Kathy Love to hear your solo tomorrow anytime from 11 to 11:30 or from 12:40-1:30, if you are not already working with a private teacher.I would be happy to help anyone.

 

Springfield Symphony Concert Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 7:30 at JKHammons Hall

This concert is of special interest to string players.

Concert will consist of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutti Overture, Mozart’s Symphony No. 39, and Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto with soloist Brian Hong.

Pick up vouchers at the Information Cube and redeem at Hammons Hall box office for $10 seats.  Each voucher is good for 3 tickets.

 

LHE Home School Rally on Tuesday, March 7 in Jefferson City

  1. Performers will include students in Concert Choir, Bel Canto, Beethoven, Brahms, and Adoration Band.Sign Up at Information Table if you have not already.
  2. Combined practice of Agnus Dei and The Lord Bless You and Keep You on Friday, March 3 at Noon in the Sanctuary for those performers going on March 7.

  5. Please pick up a packet at the Information Table if are going to Jefferson City on Tuesday.  One packet per family.  There will be a map and general information.
  6. Dress on March 7 will be concert black and black bow ties for the guys
  7. Allow extra time for security check and enter on east side of Capital building at the Carriage entrance.Use the middle door.
  8. Set-Up and Warm-Up will be at 11:30 in the Rotunda.
  9. Perform 12:25-1:00.

PSHP Banquet Information for Saturday, March 25 at Aldersgate UMC in Nixa at 6:00

  2. The Decorations Committee is using a 50”s Theme and is looking to borrow metal model cars or trucks that are 1:18 or 1:24 size or about 6-8”.Contact Janiece Struble at 417-844-6984 (text or call) and please text her a picture of what you have.
  3. Decorators are needed to help Janeice Struble and Jemma Russell on March 25 from 10:00 to 2:00ish.Lunch will be provided.
  4. Students ages 10 and 11 are needed as drink servers and will be trained at 3:00 on March 25.
  5. Students ages 12 and 13, or high school students that aren’t performing or are only performing in Agnus Dei and The Lord Bless you and Keep You,are needed as table servers and will be trained at 3:00 on March 25.  Adoration Band students can serve.
  6. All student performers and servers will be served dinner that day at 4:30.

Set-Up and Clean Up Crew Notes

  1. March 3rd Beginner and Intermediate Band classes will meet together in the Band Room this week, so 25 chairs in Band Room.
  2. Please make sure that the Choir Room is set for the afternoon choirs, before their class time starts at 12:45.  Mezzo and Singer’s Choir meet in the Choir Room, not in the Sanctuary.
