Extra Class Notes
- Music Composition Students-Please bring what you have been composing to work on in class
- Praise and Worship Students-Please bring your own amplifier tomorrow or play acoustic
- All students-Start bringing your Christmas music with you to class starting tomorrow.
- Adoration Band-See additional notes below about your performance Friday night at the Charger’s Football game.
High School Girls who ordered dresses
Please bring your concert shoes so that you can be fitted for your black concert dress tomorrow and they can measure the proper hem. Come to the Information Table or to the PSHP Teacher Room during a time that you are not in class to be fitted. Thank you to Tracy Yohn for organizing this.
Meetings Scheduled for October 20
- All student theory teachers will have a meeting in Room 150 at Noon. We will go over more games for theory classes.
- Friend’s of PSHP will meet at 12:10 in Room 203. We will be planning the Adult Teacher Appreciation Luncheon for Oct. 27, as well as Fundraisers, Prize Store, and PSHP Directory.
Adoration Band Football Performance Information
Oct. 20th FOOTBALL INFORMATION:
We are good for the Oct. 20th football game. Lighthouse Chargers play at Hillcrest High School.
(Hillcrest High School 3319 N Grant Ave, Springfield, MO 65803 – football field is west behind school, access from south side parking lots, off of Grant or W Smith St/also known as Zoo Park Rd.) This is all north of Zoo and fairgrounds, using Grant to go north.
- Arrive by 5:30pm
- Dress in Layers to be warm. Temperature drops at dark. Blue and orange colors if possible, not required.
- Parents will have to pay to enter game, band is free.
- Eat well before coming or bring $ for concessions.
- Music organized in binders, inside plastic sheet covers, or with several clothes pins/ paper clips
- Bring music stands and instruments.
- Can only estimate ending time – 9:30pm

Upcoming Picture Packages
Please sign up for times at the Information Table for picture on either October 27 or November 3. This can be one student, all siblings, or for the whole family! These will make great presents and will be ready in time for Christmas. Prices range from $8 to $15 with package add-ons available.
Yearbook Headshots for all PSHP Students and Teachers on October 27.
Classes will be dismissed as a group to have each student take a headshot for the yearbook. These photos are not for sale, but will be in the Yearbook that can be purchased on line. Pick up a flier at the Information Table.
Upcoming Fundraiser and Christmas Present Possibilities Now-November 3
Please stop by the PSHP Information Table to check out items that can be ordered online or here at PSHP. Items include t-shirts, mugs, PSHP Canvas Music bags, Luggage tags to label instruments, jewelry, etc. Thank you to Susan Rives for sharing her talents with the rest of us. Items can be ordered from October 20 to November 3. We can save on shipping by ordering on line and having it shipped to one address, then it can be distributed. We also have other options.
Upcoming Concerts and Events
- Mid America Singers will have a concert on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 3:00 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Free Admission.
- Hillcrest High School has a special invitation to all home school students to attend their production of A Charlie Brown Christmas. Showings are November 8-11. Fliers with more information with be at the PSHP Information Table.
- See above for the Friday, October 20 home school Football game with our own Adoration Band members performing at the JV and Varsity games at Hillcrest High School stadium. JV game if first, then varsity starts at 7:00.
- Beethoven and Brahm’s students will be performing as the Pre-Concert at Springfield Symphony Concert on Saturday, November 11 from 6:55-7:20. This part is free. If you want to stay and hear the Spfld Symphony at 7:30, pick up a voucher for a $10 ticket at the PSHP Information Table. Students that are performing will be admitted to the 7:30 concert for free.
