We are coming up on the end of the semester. Our biggest struggle as a class is rhythm, so this is something I would continue to encourage you to work on at home. Please review pages 7, 8, 17, and 18 in your rhythm book. Also please make sure you have completed up to page 27 in your theory book.

My musical happy moment this week is one that we shared in class on Friday. Relive the fun that is “Beethoven’s Wig!” This is a “parody,” which is a familiar piece of music remade into another form or for another purpose. This piece uses a portion of the first movement of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and adds words to make a humorous story. Share it with your family, and maybe even write a parody of your own this week!
