Notes for March, 24
- See Payment Table to sign-up for group discounted tickets to the home school SHEM convention on May 18-20 at the University Plaza Convention Center. The early bird deadline is April 1 for the cheapest category and the next price break would be to pay in May. If any senior wants to participate in the SHEM High School graduation on May 20, please check out the SHEM website, as the deadline is also April 1.
- Please check in the Asbury Kitchen tomorrow as David and Jonna Bradley will be doing some food prep for the banquet on Saturday night.
- Tomorrow is a “Hand Me Around” Day. Please bring any clothes, books or other items that you want to bless others with. Anyone is welcome to bring and/or take items from the tables. Please see the tables in the Fellowship Hall. They will have labels with cloth sizes for the tables.
- Suzanne Stange organized and purchased a gift for Governor Greitens that we left for him on our last visit. If you are able, will you please bring a donation of $2 to the payment table. Thank you Suzanne for letting God use you!
- Combined practice at Noon tomorrow in the Sanctuary for all those students that are participating in the Banquet Finale on Saturday in the songs, “AgnusDei” and “The Lord Bless You and Keep You”.
- All beginner orchestra students will meet in the Sanctuary tomorrow.
- All beginner and intermediate band students will meet in their separate classes tomorrow.
- Next week March 31, will be an adjusted schedule. Some theory classes will not be meeting in the older classes. Please look over the adjusted schedule in next week’s email. The teacher’s should have the schedule tomorrow to go over in class.
- April 7 is our Music Contest schedule. On this day each performing class will meet to warm-up and perform, but there will be no theory classes or other classes on that day. The order of the day is as follows, Harps at 9:00, Guitars from 9:20-10:45, Choirs from @11:00 to lunchtime, P and W right after lunch, then orchestras and bands in the afternoon. More detailed schedule will be coming out soon.
Set-Up Crews
- Set Up 35 chairs in Sanctuary for Beginner Orchestra by 8:45.
- Beginner and Intermediate Band classes are separate tomorrow.
- Set up 4 extra rectangle tables for the Hand Me Around in the Fellowship Hall.Either set up on the east wall or next to the Dividers.
Clean Up Crews
- Please set up all of the 11 white round tables in the Fellow Hall at the end of the day.

To help with decorating at Aldersgate: Performers could volunteer for this.
- 6 Students from 10:00am to 2:00pm
- 1 Adult from 10:00am to 2:00pm
To Bring a veggie tray to Aldersgate on Saturday, March 25th
- 1 Veggie tray needed. The slot to sign up for is from 10:00am to 2:00pm, but you can drop it off any time after 9:00am.
To help setting tables: Performers could volunteer for this.
- 8 Student Volunteers from 1:00pm to 4:00pm
- 2 Adult Volunteers from 1:00pm to 400pm
Waiting on the tables:
Non-performers, only, should volunteer for this.
- 16 Students from 3:00pm to 8:00pm
- 1 Adult more (Faith will be in charge of this group).
Drink Servers: This can be 11 and 12 year olds, we currently have 11 volunteers.
- One more adult needed from 4:00pm to 8:00 to assist Charlene.
Seating Hosts and Hostesses:
This could be filled by performers who aren’t involved in playing during a prelude.
- 1 Adult from 5:30pm to 6:00pm
- 3 from 5:30 pm to 6:00pm
Plating and Service during the meal:
- 3 adults or high school students from 5:30pm to 9:00pm (actually, more like 8:00pm)
Dishwashing:
- 2 Students from 5:30pm to 9:00pm
Clean-up:
17 volunteers Needed from 8:00pm to 9:30pm
Here is the link to the sign-up website once more. In addition to signing up, you are able to make changes to what you have signed up for. The only thing you can’t do is switch to a slot that is filled. As far as deleting your name from a slot, or switching to another available slot, you can do that from the sign-up.
