Parent and Student NOTES

  1. All classes meet the next 2 Fridays on May 5 and May 12.  Bach Theory students are welcome to attend the 3:30 Music Composition Class recital in the Sanctuary at 3:30, if you have permission from your theory teacher. The 3:30 Music Composition Recital is open to all.  Brahms Orchestra will practice after the recital is done until 5:00.
  2. Payment Day for May. May is our adjusted bill since we missed 2 Fridays in January, each family will only be charged for 2 Fridays in May, plus your church usage fee of $5 per family and the concert fee of $7 per family.  PSHP met a total of 26 times since September and you have already paid for 24 weeks (8 months X 3 weeks).
  3. The Asbury women will be at church tomorrow working for the Bazaar on Saturday. Please limit your use in the kitchen and clear out of the Fellowship Hall by 3:00.  We would appreciate any extra helpers at 3:30 as we clean up from Friday and set up tables for the Bazaar.  Thank you for your help as we share the building!
  4. Friends Meeting at 12:10 in Room 203 or Room A150 to help organize the Prize Store and the discuss Final Concerts and Picnic. Thank you to the Roberson’s for donating our graduate cake for the picnic!
  5. High School students combined rehearsal at Noon in the Sanctuary for all high school classes that have the music Great I Am. We will also practice Ave Verum for Brahms and Bel Canto at 12:25 in the Sanctuary.
  6. 6. PSHP T-shirts have arrived. T-shirts are $8 and the c collared, polo shirts are $13.  Please pick up and pay at the Payment Table.
  7. 7. Items needed for the Prize Store on Friday, May 12. There will be a mini prize store on May 5th for any students that will be absent on May 12.  Please go to the Information Table on May 5 if you will be gone on May 12.
  • Pencils, erasers, big bubbles, sidewalk chalk, summer fun items like Frisbee, etc.match box cars, playing cards, notepads for both boys and girls, glow in the dark items, small candy items.
  1. Please print off the May calendar for your planning for all of the extra PSHP activities this month.

PSHP May Performance Schedule for 2017

 

  1. Please don’t park in an unloading zone or block any of the driveways.  This will help with any congestion in the parking lot on Fridays at Asbury.
  2. All classes will have evaluations given to the students to take home to the parents. Please ask your children to see the evaluation.  These help the students to know what to work on over the summer.  Each student will need to pass an audition on August 18 to be able to move up to the next class. Information about Auditions will be sent out around August 1.

  1. Open Houses for any prospective families and future students of PSHP will be the next two Fridays.

  2. The Springfield Symphony will have a concert this Saturday night at 7:30 at Hammons Hall that would be great for families.  It is called Extremely Silly and includes funny music!  Pick up a voucher for $10 tickets at our Information Cube.  For more information:

  1. SLT Strawberry Freckleface is being performed this weekend, Thursday through Sunday.Our student Olivia Chenevert is in this musical.  All ticket prices are the student price this weekend:
