For our purposes, all altos will sing either the part marked “alto” or “Soprano 2.”

In this recording you’ll hear a full choir with soprano and alto voicing. I cannot find a recording of this 2 part Tenor/Bass edition that we’ve ordered, but this will at least give you an idea of what the piece is like.
