Singers, the first combined rehearsal went very well on Friday! You are to be commended for continuing to work hard on your pieces. Please take note of the following things, and be prepared for our next combined rehearsal this Friday. Your continued individual rehearsal will do so much to help the whole group to go beyond just doing well, to truly being excellent! Remember, choir is a team effort, and your contribution is vital to our success.
Hallelujah Chorus: Continue to look at sections B and D to make sure you know the notes and the rhythms. Please note that at the rehearsal next week we may experiment a bit with where I’m standing so you can see me better. Being so close to the rail is not optimal, so we might work with that to find a better solution.
Mary, Did You Know: Review breath marks. Pretty much anytime you sing the phrase “did you know” it will be followed by no breath. The rhythm was great this week!
