Please check over the times for the next two Fridays very carefully, as both of these Fridays have adjusted schedules.
All 24 performing ensembles are preparing music to perform as a class at a Music Contest at Asbury on April 7.
This week each class will have a pretend or mock judge that will give comments to help polish their songs.
Most classes this Friday will also practice in the Sanctuary for a 15 minute time slot, so they can practice entering, performing, and then exiting.
Students don’t need to dress up this week, but will need to have their concert attire for next Friday, April 7.
On April 7, each class will be evaluated on their performance with both written comments, an overall rating, and verbal remarks. This is a great way to help the students and teachers learn and improve. The judges are area music teachers that will give constructive comments.
I will send out more information about April 7 as far as warm-up times and rooms, but I wanted you to have times so you can rearrange your schedule if needed.
Thank you so much for your help in these special days. It is so important for the overall learning experience.
