Hello Teachers,
Please send your weekly assignments from all performance/playing classes to the following address by 8:00 pm on Sunday each week. I would really like for Jenette to have the info earlier on Friday or Saturday if at all possible, so the parent’s can plan this into their homeschooling lesson plans for the week.
This is a new email address!
Jenette Clay: mywordsforhire@gmail.com
Cell: 417-751-0535
Other options for help with posting email assignments:
1. Write down your assignments on a piece of paper and give to Jenette Clay on Fridays. She will either be at the Info Table or at a table on the south side of the fellowship hall. Her cell number is: 417-751-0535
2. You can use her computer to type the assignments, as she will have her computer there and can update on Fridays.
The parents would really like to have assignments by Sunday night or early Monday morning, so they can plan their student’s weekly assignments into their homeschooling lesson plan for the week.
Thank you to Ken Jansen for updating and revamping our website.
Thank you to Jenette Clay for taking over the posting.
Thank you to all of the teachers for help with getting the year up and running! It always takes a lot of planning and preparation in August to get our year planned , so it can run almost smoothly the rest of the year!!
Highlights from the Teacher Meeting on Friday:
1. September pay checks were handed out. If you were absent and would like your check before Friday, contact me:
a. Kathy Love KALcello@cs.com 417-830-0303
2. Discussed Friday, Oct. 28 that the student will have their yearbook pictures taking during their theory class time. The beginner orchestra students will be the only students that will go during their playing class, so we can get a group done in the first hour.
3. Discussed fire drill on Friday, Nov. 11 at 10:45 and 2:30. Look for emergency exit door closest to your room. We will take more about this at our November teacher meeting on Nov. 4.
4. If you have any student that is behind in class, especially in the beginner class, please talk to the student and the parent to get them on track before they fall too far behind. The payment table or Kathy have the parent contact information.
5. All performance classes should plan on 7” of music for the December concerts. This does not include time to enter and exit the stage and for tuning.
· Sat., Dec. 3 at 2:00 is the HS Christmas Concert at The Springs (formerly First E. Free)
· Fri., Dec. 9 is the Elem. and MS Christmas Concert at Asbury, with scheduled times for each class from 10-12:30.
Next Meeting will be Friday, Nov. 4 at noon and will be our Teacher Appreciation Luncheon!
