Orchestra: Younger Beginner Violin Assignments for 9.27.2019
If you missed last week’s assignment, make sure you go back and look at the video and pictures for help in holding the violin correctly. We want to establish correct posture and position as a habit and muscle memory. So practicing this daily will help every student.
We will not be using the bow until we learn our notes, so please encourage students to focus on plucking our assignments from the book.
Continue to practice plucking in our Essential Elements book pages 4-5, #4 through #9. We have started adding fingering with the left hand. Practice pg. 6 #10-12.
For a bonus ticket, make sure your fingernails (left hand) are trimmed nice and short so your fingers can be rounded on the fingerboard! Look at the pictures on pg. 6 for proper left hand position.
