Intermediate Orchestra

1. Great job on the chair try-outs!  Chairs were announced.
2. Practice p. 22, p. 23, and p. 24.    Violins and violas continue to work on your 4^th fingers on the D string, instead of playing the open A string.  Zap your pinky down quickly to firmly press down the string.  The 4^th finger will continue to get stronger as you use it more.  For most people this is the weakest finger on the weakest hand.
3. Bonus Question:  write down the answer for a ticket!

Violin and viola players: Can #86 on p. 23, Ode to Joy, be played using only the D string for violins and viola players if you  use the 4^th finger?

Cello and harp players:  Which song on page 24 has a harmony part?
