Our song for over fall break is “Japanese Lanterns.” An extra bonus assignment that we didn’t get to in class is to play the “Interval Exercises” in your My First Harp Book on page 18.

 For “Japanese Lanterns,” practice playing all the dynamics (soft and loud when marked) and pre-placing your fingers on the strings where brackets are written in. Try playing the harmonics in the left hand (those are marked in the first and last lines of the song, with a little “O” above the note)
