Intermediate Band Percussion:

Practice New World Symphony, Faith of Our Fathers, and exercise #43 on snare drum (it’s on page 9-B of the snare side of the book).  When playing bells, remember to compare notes to each other instead of trying to read each note individually.  And, when playing the snare drum piece, remember to use only wrist, NO ARM…..until you get to those rolls.  Part of the difficulty of going into and out of rolls is switching between wrist motion and arm motion.  Have fun guys, and I’ll see you next week!
