Song Order for performance on Tuesday, see below for address etc.
Great job of noticing dynamics during class!
Patriotic Favorites Selections:
Star Spangled Banner
play through 2 times with all marked repeats, repeat from the end to the pick up to ms. 5.
Patriot
Watch articulation of accents, staccatos, and rests (even and especially eighth rests!)
The Cassions Go Rolling Along/Anchors Away
Everyone start at the pickups to ms. 9 on beat 2
Cellos bring out the melody at ms. 39
Battle Hymn of the Republic
Cellos remember your introduction on D that we added (D rest D rest D D D, D rest D rest D D D)
Then cellos go directly to the melody at pick up to ms. 5
Stars and Stripes Forever
Practice this in a fast 2
Mark that the DS al coda goes from end of ms. 56 to ms. 21,
then jumps from end of ms. 34 to ms. 57 (you can even highlight your music at the jumps)
Extra Music if needed:
God Bless America
My Country, Tis of Thee/America the Beautiful
