Practice your snare drum technique by looking at the exercises on page 7-B on the snare side (front half) of your book.  Remember that you play the notes whose stems are going upwards towards the top of the page, not the downward facing notes (those are for a bass drum).  The “Z” symbol on a note stem means that you buzz that note.  Follow any and all stickings on the page.  Have fun, and remember that we’re learning the secret method of how to read music fast next week!
