Hello All,
Thank you for a great first day last Friday!  I know that the chaos is always more on the first day, but that improves with each Friday.  This week all students may proceed to their class rooms directly.  There are door signs on each door, which lists the classes by hour, if you have uncertain of the room.  The Information Table is also available to answer any questions.
Please contact the Building Monitor table near the Sanctuary doors, if you have any safety issues.  We have 2-3 adults helping with this new area each Friday while students are in class.  Thank you to Arlen and Lucy Lawson for organizing this.

Reminders for Friday, Sept. 16
1.      All high school girls that have purchased the formal black concert dress will need to be fitted this Friday!  Please come to the Information Table or see Tracy Yohn whenever you are not in class.  They will also come to your classes to remind you.  PSHP needs to place the dress order next week, so we can get free shipping on the dresses.
2.      All orchestra classes, except for Beginner Orchestra classes, will have optional seat auditions during class tomorrow.  If you enjoy being a leader in class, this is a great opportunity.  All violins will need to sign up for I or II Violin parts in class tomorrow, even if you don’t want to audition.  Seats will be announced next Friday, Sept. 23.
3.      One class time has been changed, but all of the students were notified last Friday.  The Advance Guitar Theory Class will have class at 2:45, not 12:45 as originally scheduled, in Room 116.  Thanks for your patience, as we adjust so more students can attend both choir and guitar theory.
4.      Encourage practice each week.  Each of the beginner and intermediate classes have practice records to record their practice time.  The can earn practice tickets for each 30” of practice.  I would recommend putting them in an envelope in your book.
5.      There are a few books that have not come in yet. The PSHP librarians will deliver the books to the classes for the students.

Upcoming Events
1.      Sept. 23 there will be a mixer for parents of new families.  Please meet in the Fellowship Hall at either 10:00 or 2:00. Come join us for snacks and to have a meet and greet.  It is also a great time to ask any questions.
2.      Sept. 23 will be the first payment day.   You will pay for 3 weeks of classes and $5 per family church usage fee.  The payment table is located in the Fellowship Hall close to the south entrance.
