On Exercise 10, the note is G. Remember, G is on the D string, and you will put your 3rd finger on the blue tape.
On Exercise 11, the note is F#. Remember, F# is on the D string, and you will put your 2nd finger on the white tape.
When playing these notes, make sure you are pressing hard enough with your left hand fingers so the note has a clear sound. Keep your left hand fingers curved, but not too curved. Put your left thumb against the circular tape at the end of the fingerboard, down by the nut, and make sure it is not peeking over the edge of the fingerboard. Don’t press too hard! MOST IMPORTANT, make sure your left wrist is straight. Pretend you are holding a spider in your left palm, and that you do not want to crush it. Here are two photos of correct posture:
