Remember to practice playing and record your time on your practice sheets for tickets
(sheets can be printed off from the website and 30 minutes equal 1 ticket).
Since we’ve started scales, remember the C Major scale has no flats or sharps, G Major has one sharp (F#) and F Major has one flat (Bb); and that intervals are the spaces between notes.
About intervals and how to play them: a whole step will equal three frets on your guitar. For example, F to G on your first string is a whole step. A half step would cover two guitar frets. For example, G# to A as the first two frets of your second string would equal a half step). WWHWWWH is our ascending scale pattern. Always start and end on the name of the scale.
We’ll be learning more about intervals and scales in class next week.
