Notes for Friday 11.9.2018

Notes for Friday, November 9, 2018

A NOTE ABOUT THE WEATHER:
According to the National Weather Service “Roads should remain just wet unless a band of heavier snow moves over an area.” The colder air is forecast to remain North of HIGHWAY 54 and officially for Springfield “Little or no snow accumulation expected.”
I have already received calls from some, so I will take this opportunity to remind everyone of our Weather Policy as stated in the Handbook:
We will not meet if there is any snow or ice on the roads. If the Springfield Public Schools are closed due to weather, we will also be canceled for that day. Your family’s safety is our primary concern in bad weather. Please use your best judgment for the road conditions in your area. In the event that we cancel classes, an update will be sent and the website will be updated by 6:30 a.m. on that class day.
I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!!
Kathy

  4.  FREE piano notice from Gina Edwards.  I have an old high school friend who had a death in the family and now has a piano they don’t want.  It is free, just someone needs to pick it up if they want it.  Maybe someone at the school would like it?  I don’t know what shape it is, but 2 months ago I played on it and it for sure needs tuned, but I don’t recall if there were any other issues with it.  If there are, most issues can be fixed by a piano tuner.  The body seemed to be in good shape.  For those interested, call Craig Danzer at 417-496-5907.
  5. No Yearbook class tomorrow.
  6. No Drum Set Class tomorrow.

Love Collection for one of our families

There will be a sign up at the Information Table if you would like to bring a meal for the Richardsons for their family of 3 on a Friday that we have PSHP classes.  This can be frozen or ready to bake.

We will have a donation box set up at the Information Table for donations to the Richardson family.  Angie, the mom of our PSHP student Ashlynn, has been diagnosed with liver cancer.  She has treatments each week at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas.  She will have to receive all of her treatments in Houston each week, because it is a trial medicine.  She will get a 2 hour treatment each Tuesday and a 6 hour treatment on Wednesday.  They will be traveling back and forth from Springfield to Houston each week.

We are collecting monetary donations, gas gift cards, and restaurant gift cards to bless this family this fall.  Please pray for Angie, Ashlynn, and Roger.
