Intermediate Band Percussion

Work on exercise #64 on snare. Use a metronome, and try it slow at first. Here’s the .pdf of the same rudiment sheet I handed you. Also work on Shenandoah and Choral. And, as is traditional, keep looking at You Will Be in My Heart and Tis So Sweet. See you guys on Friday!

Beginner Band Percussion

Practice "Carnival of Venice" (exercise #153) on bells. Make sure to use a metronome on this one, and take note that there are only THREE beats in each measure, not four. Also, practice exercise #33 on snare drum/practice pad. We’ll play this all together on Friday, and then take a look at our very own percussion feature! (Also, keep looking at Glory Joy and Crown). See you on Friday!
