Wonderful job on seating auditions today! I was impressed with everyone that I heard. We ran out of time to listen to the violas and cellos, so we will hear their audition pieces next week.

We will begin a piece from Sacred Settings this coming Friday.
I have asked Kathleen to come around and write a few comments for each student regarding posture and some suggestions on how to improve. She will then check back with you after a couple of weeks to see your hard work! Please please please ask for help if you do not understand her comments/suggestions. Learning a stringed instrument is very challenging. We are here to help you succeed! Kathleen will only have time to get to three or four students per week. Don’t worry, we will make time for everyone!
This week, focus on your left hand posture. See the picture below for an excellent example of left hand posture!
