Keep practicing the 1812 Overture, and try to play along with the CD in your book (it tends to take pieces a little fast, though, so don’t be discouraged if it’s hard to play with it!). Also look over African Noel, mostly just at those offbeats (and that tricky last measure!). For brownie points, look up what a hemiola is and tell me about it on Friday.
