June Notes 6.6.2018

I hope everyone is enjoying a more relaxed schedule.  I was so impressed at the music at our concerts.  What a strong way to finish the year and worship our Lord.  Be sure to practice this summer, so you can continue to move forward.

Thank you for my gifts at the end of the year!

I was honored to receive a plaque for 20 years of Play and Sing His  Praises from 1998-2018.

I also love the beautiful stained glass hanging.  It has the same design as the PSHP T-shirt, designed by our own Katie Doyle.  See how many musical symbols you can see in the design?!

  1. Help with the Instrument Petting Zoo from 2:40-4:00 at the Outdoor Concert Saturday, June 9.  The Springfield Symphony will provide instruments for any child to try.   The volunteer would assist the student and also ensure that the instrument is safe.  See more information above.   The Symphony will also give you free vouchers to a symphony concert in the fall.
  2. The Springfield Symphony is seeking volunteers to assist in a summer workshop at the Creamery Arts Center, 411 N. Sherman Parkway, Springfield, MO 65802.  This is across the street from the Cardinals baseball field and also adjacent to the Jordan Valley Park.  Everything is planned, and there are teachers. High School volunteers will just assist.  The date is next week June 11-15 from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.  You may volunteer for the whole week or a day or parts of a day.  This outreach program will work with children grades 1st through 8th to encourage music appreciation.
